Feeding
Here at Kazaura all our dogs and puppies are fed on a diet of raw food.
In my early years of owning GSD's I fed them on a diet of raw meat and mixer biscuit.
My dogs were doing very well on this, but vets and pet food companies recommended a complete food, so I changed over to what I thought was a better way of feeding my dogs.
For years my dogs were then fed on a good quality complete food, but I always had problems getting them to eat it and keeping their weight on. I started to mix in some raw meat to encourage them to eat and most of the time this worked fairly well, but sometimes the dogs would go off the biscuits, loose weight and I would start worrying again.
I had noticed how much my dogs only ever left the biscuits but used to eat all the raw meat. So gradually I increased the meat, reduced the biscuits and also started feeding raw chicken wings.
I also started researching the raw diet on the internet, reading books and seeking advice from other raw feeders.
The more I learnt the more I increased the amount of raw food I gave my dogs. The results spoke for themselves, my dogs were healthy, with great coat condition, cleaner teeth, normal toilet and whats more they loved their new diet and always cleared their bowls.
I now feed a variety of natural raw foods. This is not a new way of feeding our dogs, its a natural diet for our dogs, after all they are carnivores - natural meat eaters. Domestic dogs are known as carnivores because of their dental makeup and digestive tract, the same as wolves, foxes, lions, tigers and domestic cats.
I have been so impressed by the improvements in my dogs since feeding raw, that I am now supplying a variety of raw foods to customers. Visit my 'Pet Prezzence' website for details.
My dogs enjoy a variety of the following foods -
RAW CHICKEN - forms the main part of their diet, it is fed in the form of -

Cottage cheese, Natural yoghurt, Raw fruit & veg (pulped).
When feeding any of these foods, I usually mix it with their minced meat and a handful of wholemeal mixer biscuit.
ALL meat and bones should be frozen for 24 hours prior to feeding, as this kill any parasites which could be present. For more information on this click HERE
